Methods of Payment

 

For your convenience, you may make payments on-line, in-person or by phone at 410-706-7393.

Personal checks are accepted in payment of your student account. All checks and money orders must be in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank. They should be made payable to the University of Maryland and should include the student's social security number on the front of the check. In the event your personal check is returned to the University unpaid by your bank, your account will be assessed a service charge in accordance with the following schedule:

Checks up to $25  

$5.00

over $25  

$25.00

 

Payments can also be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards.

To pay on-line click hereOn-line payments can be made by VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and personal check.

To pay by mail: Return the payment stub from the bill and your check or money order to the address on the bill. If you choose to pay part or all of your bill by credit card, click here for on-line payment.  You can print your own verification of payment when your transaction is completed.  Your payment will be posted to your student account within two business days.

To pay in-person: You may pay in person at the Cashier's Office, 110 S. Paca Street, 2nd Floor between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  You may wish to verify the amount owed by obtaining a copy of your account from Financial Services or through SURFS by selecting Account detail by term under Personal Information.  Because paying in person often involves waiting in line during peak periods, payment by mail or on-line is encouraged.
