| The process for utilizing either of the contract travel agencies
has changed slightly. To make arrangements for an official University business trip, complete an Out of State Travel Request Form. Once the form has been signed by the appropriate signature authority in your department, school or unit, contact one of the two contract travel agencies to make your reservation as you have done in the past. After your reservation has been made, it is important to immediately fax a copy of your Out of State Travel Request Form to the travel agent. This additional step in the reservation process is necessary due to rapidly changing ticket prices
in the current air travel industry. Upon receipt of the fax, the agent will finalize your reservation and issue your tickets accordingly. The hard copy of the Out of State Travel Request Form should then be routed through normal channels for final approval. There is a $24.00 transaction fee for Travel-On and a $31.00 transaction fee for Omega for each ticket issued for traditional reservations made by telephone and $15.00 for online reservations using Travel-On OnLine or Omega OnLine.
